The Andes

The Andes are the longest continental mountain range in the world. They are a continuous range of highlands along the western edge of South America. This range is about 7,000 km long, about 200 to 700 km wide, and of an average height of about 4,000 m. The Andes extend from north to south through seven South American countries: Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina and Chile.

The Andes is the highest mountain range outside Asia, with the highest peak, Aconcagua, rising to 6,960 m above sea level. The summit of Mount Chimborazo in the Ecuadorean Andes is the point on the Earth’s surface most distant from its center, because of the equatorial bulge.

I have been to Peru and Bolivia last month.

Streets of Lima Peru.

Streets of Lima Peru.

Lima is in midsummer just now, but it is dry and has a comfortable climate. Modern areas and old towns are mixed. As there are many old cars in the city, depending on an area, there is much exhaust gas.

I felt Bolivia is a mysterious country, it seems to be in chaos.

Then, let’s introduce the capital of Lima Peru next.
