Doğubayazıt Ağrı Province

We were going to the town of Dogubeyazit from Muradiye Falls. Dogubeyazit is located 90km north from Muradiye. It takes an hour 30 minutes.

On the way, I took some photos at Tendürek Pass (altitude of 2644m).

Doğubayazıt is a city and district of Ağrı Province. It is Turkey’s most eastern district, bordering Iran, and its elevation is 1625m. The climate on the plain is hot and dry in summer, cold and dry in winter.

Doğubayazıt’s population in 2010 was 115,354 of which 69,447 live in the town of Doğubeyazıt, the remainder in the surrounding countryside.

We walked around the town of Doğubayazıt aimlessly.

The main industry is sheep breeding, and the area began producing Sulphur, starting in 1920. (Sulfur is raw materials such as gunpowder, match, medicine.)
