Kahta – Siverek Ferry, Turkey

Kahta – Siverek Ferry provides a ferrying service on the northern part of the Ataturk Dam Lake. (Siverek is a town in the south-east of Turkey with the population of 107,634 in 2000 census).

That morning, I left the hotel in Kardut Village for the next destination Diyarbakır.

On the way, I crossed the lake of Ataturk Dam by ferry. When I arrived at the waterfront, many cars have already waited.

Arrived at the Kahta Siverek ferry pier. A lot of the vehicle were waiting for the ferry.

As I had to wait for a ferry for approximately an hour, walked around there and took some photographs.

There are a few restaurants and cafes and local children were playing there.

A ship landed at the pier. But I could not go on board for this boat.

The next ferry came alongside the pier and they unloaded vehicles from the ship.

We arrived at the opposite shore.

They landed vehicles, passengers landed, some of them had Turkish tea in a cafe and I was away and took some photos.
