Prangins Castle, Switzerland

Château de Prangins (Prangins Castle) is a Baroque palace in the municipality of Prangins of the Canton of Vaud in Switzerland. It is a Swiss heritage site of national significance.

Prangins Village is in the district of Nyon, located 27km east from Geneva, on the Lac Leman. It has a population of 3,987 inhabitance (Dec 2014) and elevation is 413 m.

Prangins has an area of 6 square kilometers, 54.7% of the area is used for agricultural purposes, mainly viticulture.

Château de Prangins (Prangins Castle)

Prangins Castle has been a seat of power for centuries. The first record of the domain is from 1096. The current building dates from 1732, and has been extensively restored and furnished in the original style.

Well, I went into the Prangins Castle National Museum. The displays focus mainly on daily life in the castle and the region.
