The Burgos Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral, dedicated to Santa Maria.

Originally, the tomb of El Cid and his wife was in a small monastery at San Pedro de Cardeña in Castile. During the Napoleonic invasion of Spain, French soldiers made away with their bones to France. Their bones were returned to Spain in 1927 and buried in the Cathedral of Burgos.
The San Pedro de Cardeña Monastery is located in Castrillo del Val, 10 km from the center of Burgos.
As the clock is ringing, the doll emerge and tell the time. He opens his mouth each time the bell rings. Why did they name it as Papamoscas? Papamoscas means flycatcher in Englsh. A Spaniard said, it means “dullard.”
Got out of the cathedral I took a rest at the cafe. I was overwhelmed by the huge and luxurious building.
