Headed to Oniwaki Area. It stopped raining fortunately.
I arrived at Rishiri Island Folk Museum in Oniwaki village first. This historical building used to be a village office. And then moved to the beautiful pond called “Otatomari Pond” (Numaura Marshland).
This is the biggest pond in Rishiri island.
Pristine wilderness is still left in this area.
Enjoyed the walking trail around the pond as listening to the wild birds singing.
Then, I headed for Minamihama Marshland (South Beach Marshland).
Arrived at Minami-hama Marshland, I was strollng along the wooden path.
It was cloudy, but the scenery is beautiful and I took a lots of photos of rare plants.
The Minami-hama Marshland has been regarded as a valuable moors for vegetation analysis. White arum and other aquatic vegetation are found at the marshland.
I left Minami-hama Marshland for the final destination Kutugata Area.
