I was past the Natural Park Alt Pirineu on the way to the Sort town.
Sort is the capital of the region of Pallars Sobirà, in the province of Lleida, Catalonia.
It is located at 692 metres above the sea, by the river Noguera Pallaresa, a tributary to the Segre River. It has 2,360 inhabitants in the 2011.
Sort is also famous for its canoeing competition.
Esglèsia de Sant Feliu (Church of St Feliu) is the parish church of the town of Sort in the county Culd. It was built 17th century.
It is located in the main square, south of the town center, facing to the highway.
Saint Feliu was martyred at Girona after traveling from Carthage with Saint Cucuphas to Spain as a missionary.
Saint Feliu was died in 304. He is said to have been born at Scillium. His feast day is celebrated on August 1.
The Sort Castle was built by the Count of Pallars Artau I culd, probably in 1065.
