Andorra La Vella, Principality of Andorra

Andorra is located in the eastern Pyrenees Mountains and bordered by Spain and France. It is the sixth smallest nation in Europe, having an area of 468 km2 and an estimated population of 85,000 in 2012.

The capital, Andorra la Vella, is the highest capital city in Europe, at an elevation of 1,023 metres above sea level.

I took a room at the Hotel Crowne Plaza after arriving in Andorra la Vella.

After supper, I strolled around the neighborhood of the hotel.

Andorra la Vella has a population of 22,256 (2011), and the urban areahas over 40,000 inhabitants.

The principal industry is tourism, although the country also earns foreign income from being a tax haven. Furniture and brandies are local products.
