Across the border to Georgia

At the morning, a rainbow appeared in the sky of Yerevan.

A rainbow, the view from my hotel room.

If you’d like to go to Georgia, you should know at least Queen Tamara. She is still loved most by the people of Georgia.

Tamar the Great (1160 – 1213) was the Queen Regnat of Georgian from 1184 to 1213, who presided over the apex of the Georgian Golden Age.

Tamar was married twice, her first union being, from 1185 to 1187, to the Rus’ prince Yuri, whom she divorced and expelled from the country, defeating his subsequent attempts at coup. For her second consort Tamar chose, in 1191, the Alan prince David Soslan, by whom she had two children, George and Rusudan,  the two successive monarchs on the throne of Georgia.

You also have to know that Georgia is famous for good wines and beauties.

I went to the cave monastery, Vardzia  from the border.
