The Tomb of Bannentiu, he was a local wealthy merchant of the XXVI Dynasty, ancient Egypt.
The tomb is built underground, and is reached via an iron ladder down a deep shaft, at the bottom of a 10m shaft.
The interior of the tomb is cool and comfortable. Consisting of a four-columned burial chamber with an inner sanctuary, it is covered in fine relieves depicting Bannentiu in various positions with the gods.
Its hall is decorated with deities painted in ocher, brown and black upon a white background. Colorful murals depict Bannentiu with the gods.
