Genuine Alexandria, Egypt

My Egyptian guide says “Alexandria is called the bride of the Mediterranean Sea.”  I am surprised and dumfounded. Why was I surprised? I will explain it.

Alexandria is full of garbage everywhere.

The guide says that in this city sometime old building collapses, at the rate of once in three months and dozens of people die.

The traffic jam of Alexandria is extremely terrible. Especially, the traffic jam in front of the Courthouse of Alexandria is severe.

Because the judges, the public prosecutors, the lawyers, the police officers and the staffs of the Court of Alexandria park their cars on the road. They are men of power, and the illegal parking is permitted as a natural right.

Besides, the prisoner wagon blocked up the road and the driver disappeared, and our bus was stalled for 30 minutes.

However, it might be good for the pedestrians. It took one hour to go from a fort of Qaitbay to the restaurant 3km off.

You can find many queer cars in this town; cars without windshield, door, bonnet, vehicle’s plate. They release a large quantity of exhaust gas like a steam locomotive equally.

The town of Alexandria shows dimly through exhaust gas.

I took this photograph from Citadel of Qaitbay. It is totally like the Chinese air pollution gas. Do you think that this town is “a bride of the Mediterranean Sea?”

After the meal, I should leave this town early.
